This full-emersion experience introduces you to the real life of a Commercial Fisher! Learn to Jig with a board under the Ice. Ride in a Bombardier and run nets.
It’s a once in a lifetime chance to learn about the age old lifestyle that has been on Lake Winnipeg for Generations. Never before have you had the opportunity to live the thrill and learn from the best. You will also take advantage of an informative Q&A session while on the ice.

Tour Times: 9:00am – once daily four approximately 4 hours. At the end of the tour a shore lunch will be provided. This includes two guide, Bombardier Transportation and equipment.
1-4 Guests per Day: $940
Additional people to maximum 8 is $75 per person.

What Does a Icelandic Commercial Fishing Tour Include?
- Interpretive session discussing the Generations of sustainable fishing on Lake Winnipeg
- Tour length approximately 4 hours on the Ice and includes a ride in a Bombardier to the site.
- Fish Fry on the ice at the end of the tour. We fillet the fish.
- Jig a board under the ice and pull gill nets after. Learn how these fish have been caught for generations and why the really big ones get away.
