A Place with History
The Gull Harbour Lighthouse (1898) Gull Harbour Marina on Hecla Island is located within some of the most scenic waters of Lake Winnipeg.
In 2017, the property was acquired by new ownership and has undergone an extensive renovation to all its facilities.
Gull Harbour Marina is home to a modern, full-service marina, yacht provisioning and yacht charter services, boutique inn, 120 seat restaurant and retail store. Gull Harbour is now the premiere marina facility on Lake Winnipeg.
When it was established at the turn of the century, the Gull Harbour (1898) lighthouse was vital to the navigation through the narrows of Lake Winnipeg.
Gull Harbour’s lighthouse supported the expanding economy of Hecla Island and Lake Winnipeg by ensuring a safe and efficient passage for the fishing and commercial traffic on Lake Winnipeg.
Whether your passion is sailing, paddling or powerboating, the vast expanses of Lake Winnipeg and surrounding islands beckon you from the tranquility of Gull Harbour.

Cash Bar
Guests purchase drinks individually. We stock your selected products and can customize with two weeks’ notice. Cost is based on menu pricing.
Host Bar
You cover the total consumption. Signature cocktails or martini bars available with advance notice.Estimated cost is based on $30/adult and $15/child and actual cost will be determined on date of event.
Corkage Bar (Permit)
- LGCA occasional permit required
- Full-service corkage (2026): $16 per adult (18+); $8 per person under 18
- Beer & wine corkage (2026): $10 per adult (18+)
- Setup (2026): $275 minimum
- Bartending (2026): $28/hr per bartender (min 3 hrs)
Mixers, ice, fruit, napkins, and glassware provided.
LGCA & Corkage Notes
- Apply for occasional permits at mylgca.ca.
- Permit holder must be present and is legally responsible for guests and compliance.
- Permit, receipts, and inventory review required 48 hours in advance with our manager.
- Only alcohol listed on the permit may be served in the permitted location.
- The permit may be of two types:
No-sale permit: liquor may be served at no cost to guests (i.e., the host covers cost).Sale permit: liquor may be sold (e.g., by cash bar or ticket sales) at the event.
The legislation allows that “if liquor is to be sold … the price at which it is to be sold” must be stated in the permit. - Minors (under 18) may be present but cannot be served.
