Cooks Outfitting & Guide Services is based out of Hecla Island from spring until fall, specializing in trophy Greenback walleyes on Lake Winnipeg.
Our goal is simple — work hard, stay on the fish, and make sure every group has an awesome day on the water. Whether you’re after your personal best walleye or just looking to spend a day fishing with buddies or family, we’ll do everything we can to make it happen.
From chasing early spring giants to focusing on the sheer numbers and beauty the lake has to offer as summer goes on, every trip is built around staying on active fish and adapting as the bite changes. As fish transition throughout the season, we move into new zones and mid-summer areas to stay on quality bites and keep clients into fish all day long.

We’re proud to work alongside Gull Harbour and showcase everything this area has to offer — incredible fishing, beautiful scenery, and some of the biggest walleyes Manitoba has to offer.

Born and raised in Manitoba, Dalton Cook has spent thousands of hours on the waters of Lake Winnipeg chasing trophy Greenback walleyes and learning the seasonal movements of the fish. His passion for fishing, hard work on the water, and easygoing personality have helped build Cooks Outfitting into an experience clients look forward to year after year.
